My Intentions Here

My name is Annie, and I’m really glad you’re reading this.

Not to herald a concept that has literally been recognized for thousands of years, but writing is…cool. Here I am with my HP laptop (silver frame, no print screen button) at 7:37pm, May 24, 2019, Secaucus Junction. And here YOU are at some other, indefinitely-future-y point, reading precisely what my brain translated into text just some, say… three weeks, four days, twelve hours, thirty-seven minutes and twenty-nine seconds prior. Our thoughts are like, mingling through spacetime :O

I’ve been wanting to start something like this for a while, but you know how it goes. James Charles sets the world on fire, the Ted Bundy movie comes out on Netflix—I get terribly busy. Read: lazy.

But now that I’ve finally created this space, here’s what I want to do with it:

Every single one of my favorite moments in life thus far has involved other people. As cliché as it sounds and as it is, I love feeling connected.

That’s why my primary intention with this blog is to release honest and genuine work. I think vulnerability breeds connection, and I want to talk (into the abyss, maybe!) about the stuff that I love and think is really cool, in the most authentic way possible. If, by some chance, it strikes a cord with someone, I want them to somehow feel connected to me…As if we did actually just exchange thoughts through spacetime or something.

This is nothing but a page on the internet about random things that I enjoy, but I also hope for it become my little platform for building human connection.

I hope you can feel how genuinely I mean that.

In other news, chicken shoes.
